Baylor senior center J.D. Walton is one of 44 players named to the Rimington Award spring watch list which honors the top center in the country.
Walton has started 24 straight games for the Bears since transferring from Arizona State in 2006. Walton helped the Bears rush for 2,349 yards and 29 touchdowns last season.
Walton is joined by four other Big 12 centers on the watch list, including Missouri’s Tim Barnes, Texas’ Chris Hall, Nebraska’s Jacob Hickman and Texas A&M’s Kevin Mathews.
