We fought pretty hard today,” Baylor coach Todd Harbour said. “We got out in the race, but just didn’t hold onto it.” Bedell finished eighth, covering the 6K course in 21:44.91. The meet featured some of the top men’s teams in the nation, but Knorr more than rose to the challenge. Clinging to a pack of Stanford runners, Knorr completed the 8-kilometer course in a time of 24:15, just 21 seconds off the lead. To make the Community of Champions list, a student-athlete must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher, be involved with at least one community service project and demonstrate leadership on and off the field. Baylor finished with 203 points as a team to finish behind third-ranked Florida State, the meet winner with 89 points. The men’s team was also in action, finishing 11th at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Fayetteville, Ark.
