• It’s the final weekend for all that jazz at the Waco Civic Theatre’s musical “Chicago.” Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, May 17-19 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 20 at the theater, 1517 Lake Air Drive. $18 and $16. Call 776-1591 for ticket availability.
• The annual Marlin Music Fest in Marlin’s City Park kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday, May 18 with Holly Tucker and closes Saturday night, May 19 with Wes Hardin & the Country Outlaws. In between are six Waco bands, lots of music, games, art and food. $5.
• Waco Independent School District visual arts teachers show their talent in the sixth annual “Waco’s Own” exhibit at Art Center Waco, 1300 College Drive. The exhibit runs through Aug. 5 with an opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 18 and artists’ remarks at 7 p.m.
• Chanda Robertson brings Patsy Cline to life in the Tin Building Theatre’s production “Always . . . Patsy Cline.” Final performances at the Bosque Arts Center in Clifton are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 18-19, with Saturday’s performance a dinner theater. • Baylor University’s Martin Museum of Art draws from its holdings for the exhibit “Selections From The Permanent Collection,” which goes on display Tuesday, May 22 through June 23 in Baylor’s Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center.
