Rib Crib location activity has folks abuzz

Activity is popping up at the former Rib Crib location on Woodway Drive, in front of Hollywood Jewel 16. People are hauling material out of the building and tossing some of it into Dumpsters.
It appears the place is getting a good cleaning.
That has prompted a couple of folks to send me e-mail messages, hoping that another restaurant will move in there: maybe a second Cheddar’s location, one suggested.
Those of you hoping for another restaurant at that location may be disappointed.
Sources tell me that a group has taken a preliminary look at converting the space into a dentist’s office.
Rib Crib didn’t last long. It opened in the summer of 2006 and closed its doors less than two years later. Crowds simply did not patronize the place in sufficient numbers to keep it afloat.
